Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a fabulous New Years Eve!! I can't believe another year has come and gone. Where did 2013 go?
It's funny how the end of the year is the time that everyone sits back and reflects on the year, considering was it good, was it bad? I used to look back and always feel like the year was mostly bad or mostly good, but then I started thinking? Can a year ever really be all good or all bad? You will always have bad times to go along with the good. Loved ones will leave us, new friends will be made, new lives will be brought into the world, new adventures will start.
Looking back at 2013, I can honestly say it was like any other year: full of highs and full of lows. I started a new job, that I absolutely love and have made some great friends. I was able to go up north for quite a few weekends to spend time with my family. My husband and I celebrated 3 years of being together, including 2 years of marriage. Bob found great job and validated for clinical. Bryson learned to read and write. Chelsea finished drivers training and is doing well in school.
Lots of great things happened in 2013...but all that was clouded by the painful loss of my cousin, Melisa. I still can not believe she is gone and my heart aches everyday for her family. The loss of Missy plagues me and my family and will likely be a cloud that hangs over us for the years to come. But with a loss like that, all you can do is get up, dust off and keep on living. Life wasn't meant to be all sad, and it wasn't meant to be all happy- Life will always be a roller-coaster ride and all you can do is be thankful that you wake up every day to live it.
Here's to the new year! Make the most of it.

After a couple of lessons I felt comfortable enough to drive around the city and then to my home with the coach beside me. Soon, I started making it to through the heavy stop and go traffic without stalling!
