The invitations were hand-made. I purchased vellum printing paper from Staples, 4x6 purple card stock from Micheals, and green ribbon. I made the invitation on Microsoft Word and printed them onto the vellum paper, cut them out and tied them onto the card stock. I bought envelopes from Wal-Mart, and ta-da! Cute purple elephant invitations made for less than $50. They turned out super cute!
I tried to add elephants wherever I could because they are so hard to find. I found an elephant paper punch on Amazon, and bought some cute purple paper. I made cute little napkin holders by using ribbon and the elephants, and added some elephants to the favor tags. The favors were chocolate and vanilla covered pretzels.
For the table centerpieces I purchased square vases from a wholesale floral shop online, for approximately $2 each. I made elephant confetti with the paper punch to add some purple elephants again. I bought fresh flowers and put them in lime water to add some color.
I made a banner for the gift table by printing on white card stock and tying the letters together with green ribbon.
My mom makes wonderful cupcakes, and once again, delivered!! She made: raspberry lemonade, mint chocolate chip, mocha with coffee sticks, chocolate with peanut butter frosting, and white with buttercream frosting.
Instead of a guest book, Abby decided to have everyone sign a onesie to frame and put in the nursery.
One of Abby's requests was to have glass bottles of Coke. So, we filled a tub with Coke and Diet Cokes which were decorate with diapers pinned with purple elephant tags. I also got creative with food coloring and made purple lemonade.
Abby's aunt had a cute idea to hang a clothes line and hang up all the baby clothes that she received. It turned out to be adorable!!
All in all, it turned out to be a very successful baby shower!!
I was the gift holder.
