Goals/Wishlist

Hello lovelies...It's time again for goals and a wishlist. Now, I know what you are thinking (if you're an avid reader of this blog)...I suck at completing goals. It's sad but true. However, I still make them and make a wishlist. It's good for the soul.

Or something.

I started working out again sooooo first goal...make it a habit, go 3x a week minimally for the next month.

Second, I spend too much money. So second goal, spend less and save at least $100 over the next month.

It's best if we start small here given my history.

So, here's my wish list. If I meet my goals, I get to pick one thing to buy. I only have two things:

How cute are these??!? That's all for now...

Until next time,

January Goals & Wish-list

One post that I loved doing before was my monthly goals and wish-list. I would make a couple of goals and at the end of the month if I achieved those goals, I would reward myself with something from my wish-list.

Life is short...and stressful. Why not treat yourself once in awhile? I recently went back to working night shift and it has messed up my daily schedule. I went from having a relatively stable schedule (Monday-Friday, weekends off) to a schedule that is different all the time. The only good thing is that I am back on 12-hour shifts, which means more days off. I'm in the middle of a 6-day stretch off...aaaah, it's wonderful. However, I need to get back on schedule with housework and going to the gym.

My January goals are:

1. Go to the gym! Just go. More than once, but try to get into a routine again. When I worked nightshift before, I worked out pretty regularly. This is only my second week on my new shift, but it's time to get adjusted to a new schedule. No excuses.

2. Get rid of some clutter. By the end of the month, I want to throw out, give away or donate at least 10 items.

Okay, now here's my wish-list...

Ooooh, look at all these goodies!!

Three. Jessica Simpson purse

Here's hoping I achieve those goals...

August Wish-List and Goals

Oh, friends. I am failing miserably.

I can not get motivated to get up every morning and work-out. Why could I do this before and now I can't seem to jump on the work-out band wagon. Why can't I get motivated? I want to lose weight. I used to love working out. However, somehow, I can't seem to get up in the mornings and go.

What is wrong with me? Any inspiring words?

So, anyways, here is a recap of my July goals:

Saved $100...but then spent it on a weekend getaway. Success or no?

I lost 5 lbs....and gained it back.

I did not learn any new recipes.

Oh well, here is August's goals:

Now onto the August wish-list:

July Wish-List and Goals

Okay, it's time to review my June Goals. To remind you, here they are:

I have crossed out #1 because I did one OOTD fashion post. It's at least better than no posts right? I did not do a craft post, boo to me. I managed to save over $50 (wee!) and I did start going to the gym again (okay, 2 days ago I started, but it counts...right?)

So, I did better this month than last month. Time to make some goals for July:

Day #234: Birthday Month!

My birthday is March 26. I am going to be 28 (yikes) years old! My friend, Shannon and I feel March is the best month because our birthdays occur. The first year of our friendship she turned 26 on March 23, and I turned 23 on March 26. Weird coincidence? Or fate that we should be friends? We took it upon ourselves to have a joint birthday party. Here's some pics from our 2008 and 2009 birthday parties:

Sticking with the birthday theme, here is my birthday wish-list:

Day #227: Month Review and New Goals/Wishlist

For those who are new to the blog, each month I make a goals list and a wish-list. If I meet all of my goals for the month, I reward myself with something from my wish-list. It (sort-of) helps keep me on track.

Okay, so as a reminder here were my February goals:

1. I kind of cleaned the craft room, although it still needs work. However, thanks to help from my husband, the mess the ferrets made is now gone.

2. I put well over $100 into my savings account. Nearly $500.

3. I added lots of items to the Etsy shop! Around 15.

So, I did purchase a DSLR camera, which as you can see was on my wish-list. I got an awesome deal from a man who upgraded to a newer camera. I am in love so far. Used or not, it works excellent!

Day #168: January Goals & Wish List

Okay, so this is a day late but...don't judge me! I was working the past couple days. Anywho, it's time for monthly goals and a wish list! whoop whoop!

Here's a recap of December's goals:

And December's Wish List:

December Recap: FAIL!

I suck you guys. I graduated...barely. I went to the gym...twice. And I definitely haven't read a book. I think we cooked 3 times. But it wasn't me that cooked, it was Bob.

Epic. Fail.

Moving onto January's Goals:

January Wish-List

I want this outfit:

I found the above outfit on Pinterest...so I tried to find similar items that I can afford.

Day #135: Monthly Goals and Wish-List

Time to re-cap my November goals. Did I succeed or fail?

Goals for November:

1. Clean and organize baking cupboard. I did clean and re-organize. Mostly. I found that my cupboard is too small for the baking stuff I have collected. I need to re-evaluate my kitchen storage situation.
2. Bake 2 new things from scratch! I baked one thing from scratch. So, I half succeeded.
3. Join a weight-loss challenge at work. I did join a weight loss challenge. I think once school is done next week, I will find myself working out more!

So, I think November was the most successful I have been since starting the monthly goals list. My November wish list was:

One/Two/Three/Four/Five

I haven't purchased any yet, but we'll see how the money situation goes.

So, what are my December goals?

Day #107.2: November Goals and Wish-List

Goals for November:

1. Clean and organize baking cupboard.
2. Bake 2 new things from scratch!
3. Join a weight-loss challenge at work.

Here were October's goals:

1. Seriously, go to the gym. At least twice this month. At least START going. Let's start small here.

2. Read the book "The Fred Factor". My mom has been on me. Seriously, it's like a 100 pages...this should be doable.
3. Make more items for my Etsy shop.
4. Continue to save $50 from each check.

Guess what? FAIL again! I did NOT go to the gym. However, for the last 3 weeks I have been sick. Like, hacking cough sick. I did not read the Fred Factor. School has been crazy. I have saved some money. Money I am doing somewhat decent on. Getting slightly better.

So, I'm joining a weight loss challenge at work. We pay in, work with a partner and whatever partnership loses the most weight at the end of the challenge wins all the money. Heck yes!

Anyways, I have NO overtime this month so I want to try baking some stuff. We will see how this goes!

So, here is my November Wish List:

1. Yes, I still want the blue booties from Torrid.
2. A cute sweater from American Eagle
3. Infinity Ring from an Etsy shop
4. I so badly want to buy a bad from Little Black Bag! You pick out and purchase a bag for $50 and you get 4 additional surprise items. So fun!
5.  I want some new cricut cartridges!

Day #76: September Goals...Epic Fail.

So, at the beginning of each month I have been posting a wish list and goals. If I reach my goals, then I can buy one item from my wish list. Well, for September, I failed miserably. To view my September goals and wish list, click here. But alas, I must keep on keepin' on.

Or something.

Anyways, onward with the October Wish-list:

One: Lovely Patch Pullover from Forever 21. I can't believe it took me until this week to discover that Forever 21 has a plus size section. Winning!

Two: Star Charm Necklace from Boticca. Super cute!

Three: I am still lusting over these cobalt suede booties from Torrid. And this month they are $20 cheaper. Winning again!

Four: Bvlgari Mon Jasmine perfume. I got a sample in my Birchbox and now I want the giant bottle.

Five: Dexter Wedge Pumps from Payless. They appear to be comfortable, as well as super cute.

September's goals were:
1. Begin training for next year's Warrior Dash. This means going to the gym at least 3 times a week to start with. I plan on using the couch to 5K program.
2. Save $100 from each paycheck, putting money into savings account.
3. Stick to a cleaning schedule for at least one week. Since, I haven't done that yet. Ugh.

Maybe I am setting the bar too high. I definitely never went to the gym one time. Okay, once, but that was when I went to the YMCA and cancelled my membership. Planet Fitness is cheaper and thus, I now have a membership there.

Second, I saved $50 from each paycheck, not $100. Perhaps, I should have started lower.

Three, cleaning schedule? Ha. That is hilarious. Obviously I am making progress? Okay, here are October's goals:

Okay, well, here's to October!!!

Day# 46.1: September Wish-List and Goals

1. Cobalt Suede Lace-Up System booties from www.torrid.com
2. Coach Poppy Op Art Silver handbag from www.coachoutletlove.org
3. I can’t lie. I want everything on this list. Does this make me vain? Read article here: here
4. Lurex High-Low Kabuki Dress from www.maurices.com
5. American Eagle NYC Hooded Popover from www.ae.com

So, if you recall from last month I did not meet my monthly goals. However, this month...there's more promise because I am posting this early and NOT 2 weeks before the end of the month. Anyways, if I meet all of the goals for the month, then I get to buy a wish-list item. All of the items are less than $60. Any votes??

Here are my goals for the month:

Ugh.

Okay, that's all for today. I hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day weekends! I am spending mine serving the fine city of Saginaw, MI.

Until tomorrow,

Day #34: New-ish goals?

So, you may have noticed the Warrior Dash countdown for 2012. My brother is running the Warrior Dash in Grand Rapids next month and my parents want to run in one next year. So, now it's a family event and I want to do it to. That gives me 11 months to get myself in enough shape to run just over 3 miles. Can I do it? Only time will tell. I tend to do better if I am working towards something, so this sounds like a winner!

Also, debuting today is my monthly wish-list! Here is August's:

1. Sandy Hook Pullover from anthropologie.com
2. Women's Merona® Matia Ballet - Assorted Colors (shown in Pewter) Target.com
3. Coach Embossed Blue Leather Large Tote Bag from http://www.coachoutletlove.com
4. Blueberry Iced Tea Dress from modcloth.com
5. Spare Time Leather Watch in Taupe from francesascollections.com

What is a girl on a budget doing making wish lists? Hear me out. I am trying to budget, lose weight and all around be a better person...ALL at the same time. I deserve a little "window internet" shopping. Each of these items are on sale. If I meet my goals each month, I am going to purchase ONE of my wish list items.  Just ONE. I know it is a little late in August to start working on monthly goals but here they are:

1. Work out 3 days a week
2. Save $100 from each check

There's two more weeks in August, so I guess I better make these goals count. Let's recap on the newest blog features (this is as much for MY benefit as it is yours...I don't want to forget what I am adding!):

1. Friday's Top Five
2. Monthly Wish-List
3. Monthly Goals

I will work on September's goals and wish-list this week. Any ideas are welcomed! I would love more reader involvement.

Until tomorrow,

Big, Beautiful & Broke... Chelsea
