DIY Beaded Wrap Bracelets

I originally posted this on my other blog Chelsea Cecelia Creations, hence the watermark on the photos. I am going to slowly transition all my DIY's over here and close down the other site.

I love wrap bracelets. I have many. I was curious about how to make these bracelets, so I went to the craft store and asked one of the workers. She directed me to memory wire. How could I have been making jewelry for months and not have discovered memory wire?!

Anyways, to make these cute bracelets, its VERY simple. All you need are the three supplies listed above and some patience.

When you get to the end, then do the same as you did at the beginning...turn the end up so beads don't fall off.

And viola!

Day #49: Catch Up

Today was my day of "catch up". I had to catch up some homework since I worked the last five days. I have jewelry requests that I had to get cracking on, as well as some laundry and other things.

School exhausts me. I will be happy to finally have my bachelors degree this fall. Although, I find that I love school at the same time. It keeps my brain working. It challenges me. And I like it. I've been thinking about possibly, maybe, pursuing medical school. However, it will depend on the what happens in the next year. I want to have kids. I want to be a nursing educator. I want to travel. I want to do too many things.

I got a couple of jewelry projects done. A co-worker wanted me to make her baby a bracelet for her baptism this weekend. She gave me this picture:
And I made this bracelet:

Not too bad, I would say! This first is made from wire, she wanted elastic, so that is different. And it's smaller since it's for a baby.

Also, my husband and I are now addicted to playing "SongPop". It's on Facebook, android and iPhone. So addicting! Beware!

Until tomorrow,

Day #37: Webpage Make-overs

Today turned into a fairly unexpected day. I woke up to go to work, I got ready and I even worked an hour (yes, I know, a whole hour!) feeling absolutely fine. Around 8 am, I suddenly got super dizzy and felt like I was drunk. I couldn't walk straight. I was dizzy. But I otherwise, felt fine.

Now, I can't lie. I freaked out. I'm a nurse so naturally, I assume the worst is happening. "I'm have a stroke." "I have a brain tumor." "Holy shit, I'm dying."

Of course, now of the above thoughts proved true, although my dizziness did NOT get better as my anxieties caused my blood pressure to rise and my heart to race.

Once I calmed down (after my co-workers made me get checked out) everything returned to normal. All of my tests were normal and most likely, I have an inner ear infection or fluid on my inner ear causing my balance to be off. Hubby has been laughing at me, as I appear drunk, while walking around.

Will & Butterscotch are besties!

At any rate, I ended up with an unexpected day off. I came home, laid on the couch for awhile, eventually taking a nap. I did wake up during the 8th inning of the Tigers game to finish what ended up being a GREAT game!

I also, as you can see, changed the blog a little bit again. Bare with me, as I continue to play with my computer programs and learn how to make graphics. I will probably change things...a lot until I find something I love. Thanks to all you faithful's out there.

The Etsy shop also received a much needed make-over. Check it out here: Chelsea Cecelia Creations
Not only did it receive a make-over, I also added new items. Please go and enjoy!

Getting creative at my desk!
I have the next 3 days off. What other projects will I come up with?

Until tomorrow,

Big, Beautiful & Broke... Chelsea
